The Department of Private Law seeks to provide distinguished law courses, which meet international educational standards. It aims to deliver the offered courses that are distributed over cognitive domains in many disciplines so as to cover all area fields including: civil law, commercial law, international private law, and Islamic law. It also aims to provide legal resources for students and graduates in the above mentioned field areas in order to reaffirm the graduates’ responsibility toward their profession and their alma mater, MEU.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
